Our Process

Hiring Solar Edge to provide your solar energy system is an easy decision and completely risk-free. Our expert consultants are available to meet with you at your intended location free of charge in order to assess your needs and discuss your intended benefits.

Step 1: Site Review

We start every relationship with an initial review of your residence that is performed by one of our trained system consultants. During the visit, we will examine the following with regards to optimum solar performance and system costs:

  • The property lot
  • Your home's condition and layout
  • Your home's roof condition
  • The orientation of your property
At this time you can discuss of all the solutions you may wish to pursue and get a preliminary estimation of costs and the cost/benefit of each.

Step 2: Initial Site Design & Cost Estimation

Once we have captured your project criteria and evaluated your property, our consultants will perform a review of your current energy consumption to project a baseline of cost savings you might expect by installing various sized systems.

Along with the projected cost savings, we will send you a preliminary system document showing the proposed location and types of systems to install including cost estimations for each. Once you have selected the system of your liking, we collect a $1000 refundable deposit to begin the final design or your system.

Step 3: System Design

After capturing your project requirements, we forward your information onto our design engineers at groSolar™. These engineers are experts at creating solutions that meet or exceed your desired outcomes and will make the final system design. They consider multiple factors such as:

  • Solar delineation and panel location
  • Proximity to limiting factors such as shade sources
  • Available roof space
  • Property aesthetics
  • Neighborhood guidelines
  • Overall project cost.
This step takes between one and two weeks upon which time a complete set of engineering drawings and a final estimate of costs including installation and taxes will be presented to you for approval.

Step 4: System Approvals

Upon your written approval, Solar Edge will begin working on the following:

  • Applying for all eligible rebates and incentives from government sources
  • Apply for interconnection permits with your local utility provider and county offices
  • Scheduling all necessary contractors and installers
  • Initiating contact with any needed financial partners on your behalf

Step 5: System Installation

Once your permits have been procured, a Solar Edge representative will contact you to schedule an installation date. One of our expert project managers will manage every aspect of the on-site installation from managing support contractors, utility company technicians, electricians, and our own installers.

Most residential projects take one to three days to complete once started, and will surprisingly not intrude upon your daily routine as most work takes place on the property exterior. Once your panels are installed we ensure your property is returned to its original condition before we ask for your approval on our installation release authorization.
